Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love These Earpads !!! Granted, there is a slight alteration in frequency response and definition. So, that should be taken into consideration if you're doing critical listening like mixing and mastering music. However, for long term listening at work, they are ideal. They are well made and very comfortable. They are a vast improvement over the undersized OEM replacement pads that start to fall apart after only a month of light use. Getting them on takes some effort, but that speaks to the quality of the materials and construction. If and when the replacement pads for my other set of headphones start to deteriorate, I am going to seriously consider getting another pair of these earpads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Think I found the perfect earpads!! Just got these ear pads in the mail yesterday for my Sony MDR-V6's and they are super comfortable. The pads I currently had were much thinner and did not entirely cover my ear, and they made my ears hurt. These have a large ear opening and these do completely go over my ear. They got the true test last night as I was watching a movie with my headphones on and I fell asleep for several hours. When I woke up the headphones were still on and no ear pain or discomfort at all. I am very pleased with these. As far as installation goes it took about 5 minutes for both. You just have to stretch them when you are putting them on, it may seem like they may tear, but they will not.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from They make my headphones sound good Dat Bass Installed them on Sony MDR-7506 headphones to replace the lame ones the headphones came with. They make the headphones sound more enclosed. Like they somewhat block out sounds from the outside. They also make the bass sound louder, which I'm cool with. I would recommend these. Only bad part was that as of now B&H ships them for free, but when I ordered a couple of days ago this wasn't the case. Also bought some TRS cable, maybe that's why? Note: You have to be careful when you install them because they fit on tight. They feel very secure once they're on there. Make sure the stitching is on the downside, I think that's the way they go.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Go Deep! I am an avid music listener and I make music of my own on the computer. I loved my sony 7506 cans, but the original pads were not particularly circumaural and after more than 30 mins of use they tended to ache and sweat from sitting on my ears. At first I was dubious when the salesman suggested that deeper pads might help with my issue, but they do indeed provide more space for my ear to sit inside. It's not as comfortable as a pair of truly circumaural headphones, but it's a decent workaround for adapting a smaller pair. As he warned, the bass is very slightly enhanced by the increased depth, but so far it hasn't been an issue for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade for my Sony MDR-V7 An easy and significant upgrade for my Sony MDR-V7 headphones. These are replacing the Auray Genuine Sheepskin Leather Earpads, which are also very nice but didn't have enough padding for me. The extra deep pads keep the headphone drivers off my ear and are super comfortable while also giving great noise isolation with a good seal. Now, I wish they would make a sheepskin leather version of these extra deep pads and you would have the perfect product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most Comfortable Earpads Ever.. I bought these to replace the stock earpads on my Sony MDR-7506 headphones. I record sound for film and these do several things I really like: They're deeper than the stock earpads by a lot, so it provides way more isolation.. the stock earpads didn't even fully cup around my ears. They really comfortable, and that helps out a lot more than you might think working 17 hour days on a film set. I can wear them all day and feel like they're not even on. Removing the old earpads and attaching these was pretty simple. Bonus, they look really nice and the headphones sound as good as ever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not Easy to Install, Worth It I had a ton of trouble with my 7506's after long listening sessions. Basically my only complaint with the cans; they sound amazing and are built really well. Enter these replacement pads. They are not easy to install. The fit is super snug, and I had to work in a circle pinning one side with one hand holding the cans, and working the inner edge flap thing with my index finger. Once on they look better than stock though. Sound amazing, good isolation and amazing comfort. I would recommend these as a purchase at the time of buying new headphones, let alone as replacement pads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An excellent upgrade -- don't wait! The earpads are the weak point of the Sony MDR series. They fall apart pretty quickly, and are not very comfortable even when new. As they age, they flatten out, the cover peels, and the headphones start to let in more outside noise. Do yourself a favor and replace your pads with these. They make a big difference in comfort and sound isolation. My headphones sound even better than before, because there isn't so much sound escaping through old pads -- closed-back headphones are designed to sound their best when they are sealed well against your ears, and these pads seal very well.
