Vello RS-S2II Overview

Whether shooting in the studio or outdoors, the Vello RS-S2II Wired Remote Switch provides photographers using select Sony cameras that feature the Multi-Terminal connection with a simple way to control exposures and an easy-to-use tool to create more "keepers". The device is larger and more comfortable to use than many other remote devices, with a thick, sturdy cord.

The RS-S2II is compatible with autofocusing, continuous shooting or single image capture, and long exposures. It will autofocus on a half press of the button and trigger the shutter with a full press. Also, users can press the button and slide it forward to lock it for long exposures. It can be used with cameras that feature live-view mode. Since exposures can be triggered without touching the camera, sharp, blur-free images can be captured. The RS-S2II does not require batteries as operates using the cameras own power, making it an extremely useful tool to keep in a studio or gear bag.

question

Will this work with the hx90v Sony camera?
Asked by: Anonymous
If the HX90V has a Sony Multi-connector it will work. The HX50V does have that connector but you need to check if the HX90V does.

will it work with a Sony Rx100 vii?
Asked by: Marta
Yes. It worked great in the beginning but now when I press the shutter button it takes two shots instead of just one. Take a look at the Sony VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip & Mini Tripod for Cyber-Shot Cameras. It attaches to the tripod screw and you can focus, zoom and shoot both stills and movies with remote buttons. I think it is much better, especially because it zooms.

Does it work with sony a3500 and does it have BULB mode?
Asked by: osama
I think it will. I have an a6000, and the remote's micro USB fits in the camera's micro USB/Multiport, which I think the a3500 has too. Your camera has a Bulb shutter setting and the remote's button can be slid forward to lock it into the "on/open" position for as long as you like.
