If the HX90V has a Sony Multi-connector it will work. The HX50V does have that connector but you need to check if the HX90V does.

Unfortunately, the Vello RS-S2II Wired Remote Switch for Select Cameras with Sony Multi-Terminal Connector is not compatible with the Sony A7cii. That camera does not have a port for a wired remote control.

Yes. It worked great in the beginning but now when I press the shutter button it takes two shots instead of just one. Take a look at the Sony VCT-SGR1 Shooting Grip & Mini Tripod for Cyber-Shot Cameras. It attaches to the tripod screw and you can focus, zoom and shoot both stills and movies with remote buttons. I think it is much better, especially because it zooms.

I think it will. I have an a6000, and the remote's micro USB fits in the camera's micro USB/Multiport, which I think the a3500 has too. Your camera has a Bulb shutter setting and the remote's button can be slid forward to lock it into the "on/open" position for as long as you like.
