This B&H Kit combines the Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod with the XPRO Ball Head with Top Lock Quick Release System. The MT055CXPRO3 is a 3-section support with Manfrotto's Quick Power Lock System that allows you to completely extend the tripod legs with just one hand. The rapid center column has a "one finger" operation and can be used in standard vertical mode or can be swung into horizontal position like a boom with the 90° feature to get down to a minimum height of 3.5". You can attach any of Manfrotto's flexible or articulated arms to hold lights or reflectors via the Easy Link plug built into the tripod's spider.

Is there a gimble head that would also work with this tripod? Looking to use with a D500 + Sigma 150-600C.

Can the center column be inverted?
The Manfrotto MT055CXPRO3 Carbon Fiber Tripod with XPRO Magnesium Ball Head Kit does not allow the center column to be inverted. But the center column can be positioned horizontally, allowing for low-angle and macro photography.

I either couldn't find it or I'm just blind, but I was just wondering how many release plates come in this package. I assume just one?
The package has only one release plate, I bought one more plate for a second camera body, that way I idon't have to move it form camera to camera

What's the difference between the xpro and 054 magnesium ball head?
If you are referring to the XPRO ball head vs the 054 head, then the 054 had an extra feature which allowed you to go beyond 90 degrees to 100 degrees when using the camera in portrait mode. Other than that, they are very similar in size and design. The newer XPRO removed that feature based on feedback from the user base.
