I ordered it for a new scope I had gotten, and this size is hard to find. It fits the objective lenses as it should and looks to be of good material. I am very happy with the cap.

A 50mm lens does not typically refer to the filter threads and or lens diameter. This lens happens to take a 49mm filter but that is the inner diameter of the lens. Your lens is probably anywhere from 51-54mm. Most people buy 2 or 3 different sizes and return the ones that don't fit.

No, 50mm is the focal length and not the outer dimension of the front of the lens. You will need to measure the outer diameter of the front of your lens to determine a push on cap size.

The front diameter of your lens is 60mm, so the Kaiser 60mm Push-On Lens Cap, BH # KALC60 would be more suitable. https://bhpho.to/3nzuMlU

Can you please verify if this cap will fit on a 80mm hasselblad lenses?
Asked by: ana
If the focal length is 80mm, it doesn't mean the cap/filter size is 80mm. It depends on which version of 80mm lens it is. Typically a push on lens cap should be about 2-3mm larger than that of the filter size. For example is the lens has a 77mm filter thread, a 80mm push on cap should work. The older Hassy lenses took Bay 60 filters, that would be about 60mm in diameter , so a 63mm push on cap would probably work.
