Kaiser 206980 reviews

80mm Push-On Lens Cap is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Lens Cap for B&W 77mm Slim Filters. In spite of B&H recommendations I would suggest to use this 80mm lens cap for B&W SCHNEIDER Slim 77mm filters. The outside diameter of those 77mm filters is exactly D=80mm. However this Kaiser Push On cap perfectly fits the filter and stays firm. I always had troubles with B&W Push On Slim Lens Caps, because they keep failing off the lens every time I take it from the back pack. Following the B&H recommendations at first I purchased SCHNEIDER 81.5MM Slip-On Lens Cap. 81.5mm cap also holds firm on 77mm Slim filter, but not as well as KAISER 80mm Push-On Lens Cap. So I would recommend to everyone to purchase KAISER 80mm caps for their B&W SCHNEIDER Slim 77mm filters!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works well, great cap for slim filters I bought this cap because when you use slim filters (required for wide angle lenses) don't have enough of a lip for standard lens caps to attach too. This cap sits over the filter and lens. I tried it with slim and regular filters and it does the trick every time. I hesitated to buy this brnad as BH sells another make which is cheaper, but people commented that the other cap fell off. Kaiser's has enough of a ring that it stays put. I am glad I paid the extra $2 because this works well. I highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best Lens Cap for B&W 77mm Slim Filters. The push-on cap that came with my B+W CPL Slim 77mm kept falling off. I got this Kaiser 80mm after reading some reviews. It is the perfect solution to the problem. It goes deeper than the original cap into the filter, even around the rotating mechanism and stays on its place. It's a little bit pricy but trust me...it worth it. I don't know why B+W (Schneider) can't provide the right cap for such as expensive and high quality filter. I'm giving the Kaiser Push-On Cap 4 starts because I think it is over-priced but it does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Must for thin Filters Ultra wide lens usually need thin filters to avoid vignetting. Thin filters, due to their extreme thinness, do not have front threads to allow the use of the lens manufacture's lens cap. Push-on lens caps such as the 80mmm by Kaiser can be used with 77mm thin filters, but with caution as the caps are retained only by friction and can be easily lost if they do not have a snug fit. The fit with the Kaiser push-on appears to be much better than the cheaper versions, which I found to be more easily lost.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Snug fit I use this on the 77mm Canon 10-22mm wide angle lens with a slim filter on it. You want the cap a few millimeters bigger so it will fit over the lens. It's a nice snug fit! The cap fits better than the B+W cap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Caps for 80mm Cine Rings Recently purchased Cordvision cine rings for my Rokinon cine lenses. As most know, Cordvision still doesn't (and maybe never will) have their push-on caps. Took a chance and purchased these and am extremely satisfied with them. Great build quality and they fit perfectly and snuggly (just don't try to pick the lens up from the lens cap, but honestly, why would you ever do that). I highly recommend these lens caps to anyone with cine rings or any 80mm front diameter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works fine I only bought this lens cap to fit my Nikon 17-35 F2.8 D-AFS lens with B+W slim (to prevent vigneting) circular polarizer. This filter has no biting surface on inside to allow claw type lens caps to be used. The Kaiser lens cap slips on the outside of this filter nicely. The old type of slip on cap with leathery sleeve fitting over the lens got sticky and disintegrating after a while. The plastic Kaiser is also easier to put on, and take off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fits like the proverbial glove! I lost my lens cap at the airport and have been looking for a replacement and this lens cap works perfectly. Even though my filters are 77mm thread the actual outside diameter of the filter body is a bit more and this lens cap fits nice and snug. It requires using my little finger to get it off with the petal lens hood in place, but at least it stays on. This is well worth the few dollars it costs and I ordered two to have a spare on hand.
