After dropping and losing several hard plastic lens caps with spring-loaded clips, I wanted a cap that wouldn't come off easily. This one is just right. It's a friction fit but the side lip is long enough to really seat well on the lens. And the material is softer plastic, so it's more resistant to damage when accidentally bumping the lens into something. It's important, however, to get exactly the right size for your lens. Kaiser makes them in many sizes that vary by 1mm. My lens takes a 52mm filter, but I got the 54mm size after carefully measuring the outside diameter of the lens with a digital caliper. The fit is perfect. I plan to order more for all my lenses.

will this lens cap fit a canon g5x mark II?
No, the Kaiser 54mm did not fit the G5X Mk II. However, I tested the 56mm and it fit well! https://bhpho.to/3KMfJNL
