This battery you definitely need if you are buying a Rotolight Aeos, so you can take it outdoors. It is bot that heavy and it last me a while on a photosession

I had originally bought a different brand to go with my 2 Aeos lights because of price, but the battery was considerably bigger than these. Since these things are designed to be portable and the larger battery hindered that, It made sense to get the brand name battery at the higher costs. The only reason I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 is the price. Rotolight makes quality products - and no one said photography was going to be cheap!

I bought this Rotolight battery. It's solid, but the charger is separate. I also have an Indipro 95wh v-mount batt ($100 cheaper). I'm wondering if using the charger that came with the Indipro battery is okay on this Rotolight battery?
Interesting. I also got this answer: Lithium-ion batteries need very careful charge monitoring to avoid the danger of overheating and fire/explosion. Ideally every lithium chemistry battery should only be charged using the chargers from the specific battery manufacturer as most have proprietary circuitry which may not be compatible with chargers from other makers.

That is a battery test button, you push the clear button and the lights tell you how much power is left on the battery.
