Vello LA-FX-CEF Overview

The adapter is made from a durable zinc alloy for long life. Although the lens will fit physically, autofocus, automatic diaphragm (AE metering), and other functions dependent on communication between camera body and lens will be disrupted by the lens adapter. Focus and exposure will need to be set manually, or metered in aperture priority (stop-down) mode.

Enables the use of Canon EF/EF-S-mount lenses on FUJIFILM X camera bodies, meaning an existing collection of lenses can be used on later generation DSLRs and mirroless cameras.

Precision machining securely holds the lens in place without any wobble.

It does what is advertised.. I'm able to use some of my favorite canon lenses on my Fuji camera. The autofocus does not work but I knew that would be the case. I didn't feel like opting for the powered adapter. Full manual mode is fine.

Works perfect with my Fujifilm X camera. But you have to remember that there is no Exif info or Aperture control. You will be shooting with the lens wide open. Unless you are able to get a Canon EF body and lock the aperture by pressing the DOF preview and at the same time removing the lens. Usually the get the optimal quality I set all canon lens to F/8.

I have a tamron 75-300 that is meant to fit a canon ef, will this adapter work? I have the adapter and it seems that it wont fit in.

I got this adapter for my Fuji XT20 and a Canon ...

I got this adapter for my Fuji XT20 and a Canon 50mm EF lens and I can not get the lens to focus at all. I have the shoot without lens setting activated, and am trying to focus manually and it is not working. What am I doing wrong?

Depending on the lens, some have a drive by wire system so even in manual focus they wont work with this adapter, the older 50mm EF lenses are the opposite and these would work.

There is no crop factor, both cameras share the same size sensor, aps-c.

I bought this adapter to use with a 50mm EF canon ...

I bought this adapter to use with a 50mm EF canon lens on my fuji xt20 and it seems I can't get it to focus manually at all. I can take pictures as I have the shoot without lens setting activated but there is no control over focus. Why would Vello make this product if the focus for canon EF lenses is by wire only and this adapter is unable to connect electronically with any camera???

This is compatible and will allow that lens to manual focus, be sure to enable shoot without lens, make sure on the camera body it is set to M focus, and be sure the lens is set to MF as well.
