Polsen VCP-2 Passive Stereo Volume Controller for Powered Speakers

Designed to sit between the output of your computer and the input of your powered speakers, the Polsen VCP-2 is a passive volume controller, one that offers a prominent dial for adjusting the level (or "volume") of audio. The design is passive, meaning no powered circuitry will color the sound. Operating at line level, the unit is suitable for use in a variety of scenarios, such as project studios, pro-audio studios, or even home environments.

On the input side, you'll find combination XLR-1/4" TRS jacks to interface with a variety of pro and consumer-grade equipment. Output connections are made possible thanks to two balanced 1/4" jacks; here is where you'll make the connection from the VCP-2 to your powered speakers.

The VCP-2 sports a steel construction that's both rugged and reliable. Taking up only 2 x 5.3 x 3.3" of space, the unit is relatively compact. It's also lightweight, weighing only 11.8 oz.

Volume Control
Don't stop what you're doing just to adjust the output level of your computer or sound card. The VCP-2 puts a large volume knob at your fingertips.
Balanced Ins and Outs
A balanced signal is a must for eliminating noise from interference. The VCP-2 boasts balanced inputs and outputs that eliminate noisy interference. Even with long cables runs, a balanced signal will help ensure that your audio is clean and pristine.
Easy Setup
Connect the output from your computer or sound card to the VCP-2, and send the VCP-2's output to your speakers. It's that simple.
Passive Design
The VCP-2 doesn't need to be plugged into an outlet. Passive circuitry won't alter or color the sound originating from your computer, or from any other device that you've attached to the VCP-2.
Combination XLR-1/4" Input Jacks
The combination XLR-1/4" jacks give you the flexibility to attach both pro and consumer gear to the unit.
Metal Construction
The VCP-2 is constructed with a metal chassis that will withstand the rigors of the road, as well as the occasional accidents of home use.
Relatively Compact
The VCP-2 will easily fit into an instrument case or a gear bag. It's even small enough to fit into a coat pocket.

I orderd these and it seems the product has a mono output, at least that is what it is doing to my audio. Can you confirm if this is a stereo output?
Asked by: CJ
It is stereo with individual Left and Right inputs and outputs. None of the individual ins or outs is stereo, you need to connect to both sides.
