I like trying out new ways to carry camera gear. One such way was to hang a camera from a QD stud because they're easy to put on and take off. Sadly, the OEM Sony eyecup popped off my camera while it was dangling from the strap. I had some major problems with eyecups on a previous camera system and there were never any good third party options for that body. Luckily, Vello saved the day with these guys. They snap firmly into place and seem to almost perfectly mirror the OEM units in appearance, fit, and functionality. The rubber on the top is prone to popping up a bit, but you can literally tap it back into place, and for the price, that's perfectly acceptable. Glad these are an option, and I have a few extra in case needed now.
