Unfortunately, the SleekGuard Silicone Camera Skin would be only be suitable for use with the Sony A1 without a vertical grip attached. However, it will work fine with an L-bracket.

The D850 has illuminated buttons, are these still visible if activated or does the silicon skin obscure them completely?
The buttons are covered by the skin. They are raised so that you can still feel them and though they have icons noting their functions, they would require externally generated illumination to see them.
