K-Tek KE-110CC Reviews
Solid Boom Pole
I just got this boom pole and put it through the ultimate test. I set it up with a Rode NTG-2 shotgun mic mounted with a shock mount. I basically chased my 3 and 4 year old kids around the yard recording them. We ran up and down the driveway, rode bikes, jumped on the trampoline all mic'd with the boom and there was, what I would consider minimal noise from the boom pole. That kind of recording there's an acceptable amount of noise you will pick up and this was well within that limit. The built in XLR does rattle, unless you're running or adjusting the pole live you shouldn't hear it. As long as you're gentle with it you should be fine. The locks are a little noisy but not much different than what I have experienced with other boom poles. This is a solid budget pole for sure. It's a little heavier than a carbon fiber pole but still well worth the money. For me, working within a budget this is a great pole, for someone who needs spares this is also a great option.
Boom Pole
Works great
Perfect
Its the perfect boom pole. I love it.
So far I'm happy
This is the first boom pole I've ever purchased or used for that matter. I like how it collapses down easy and it seems sturdy. Used it for 6 hours a couple days after I purchased it. I did notice that the pole seemed to carry vibration from my hands or anything else that hit the pole pretty easily. I would prefer that the last section have some sort of grip or cover on it to help insulate sound and cold, but that is something I can add on my own. Without having anything to compare it to, I gave it 4 stars.
Excellent design and quality.
K-Tek=Excellence. Period. Great product. Light weight, great mobility, quality connectors. Very happy with the purchase.
Heavy Duty literally!
Affordable boom pole that will get the job done. Not recommend for long takes but appears to be able to hold up rough handeling.
Nice-would buy again
Thanks B&H
Make spring noise but otherwise great product
A bit expensive for a pole that makes spring noise when you shake it. But great product and build quality.
