Tiffen 72mm Circular Polarizer Filters - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

I bought this for my new sigma art lens 18-35 and it doesn’t seem to fit. Is there a trick to it?
Asked by: Lisa
The Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 Art lens does have a 72mm filter thread, so this filter should fit as long as it's not cross-threaded.

Can I use this filter with a sony 50 mm?
Asked by: Diego
You can use a circular polarizer with this lens. To check the necessary size here are a few helpful tips: Refer to the "Specifications" section in your lens manual Visit the manufacturers website, find the exact lens you have, check the specifications there Look at the end of your lens for a 2 digit # with a circle that has a slash through it, that is the symbol for diameter and is your filter size Look on the inside of your lens cap, the lens cap size is usually indicted here and is the same size as your filter.

question

Can I use this filter on Sony HX300? Is it threaded?
Asked by: Norm R.
It is threaded and should fit any 55 mm lense. I'm not familiar with the Sony hx300 but generally the filter fits lenses. Not nessisarily fixed cameras that doesn't have interchangeable lenses
