Hoodman HoodEYE Reviews
small but important
this eye cup was a very needed accessory , not very big but helped me see better with my glasses.
Is good but is not the best
Is good but is not the best
Great eyecup limited use with articulating LCD's
I really love the isolation you get when using an eyecup. I purchased this for a Canon 80d. This fits great but it WILL interfere with the articulating screen. It's really not a deal breaker, If I'm shooting video or using the LCD for live view long exposure shooting I keep my stock piece on the camera. If I know I'm going to be running and gunning for wildlife I will flip my LCD into the traditional position and install the eyecup for better isolation. When it's time to pack up I just slide the eyecup up and flip the screen back in to its protection position.
I would recomend & buy again
I had a difficult time seeing my settings in bright sunlight this product helped me resolve that problem
Love Hoodman Eyecups
Bought one for my first camera body because it looked interesting, now I won't go shooting without it! Really provides focus on the subject on bright days. Durable, no problems yet.
It Does What It Says
I purchased this to make it easier to see through the viewfinder in bright daylight. It works as one would expect. You just slide the stock eyecup off and slide this one on. The rubber is soft enough to mold nicely to the eye socket. The only downside is that due to it's size, it obscures part of the LCD screen. It's not a huge issue, but could be an annoyance for some.
Good light relief
Only four star's because the eye cup could be tighter turns with just the slightest touch.
Definitely glad i purchased this!
For awhile i had been without an eyepiece on my Canon 6D. Lost it and just never cared to buy a new one! haha - But every time i took a photo the grooves where you attache an eyepiece would make contact with my for head and leave a fun little red mark that made me look amazing.........So finally i decided to replace it. My friend has this same Eyecup and i remember liking it so i snagged one for myself. Great decision. Such a small aspect of taking a photo that you wouldn't think would matter, but its very comfortable and NOT huge. Go buy one.
