Hoodman HoodEYE Reviews
Horrible
After a couple of years the optic becomes cloudy and distorted. Makes the view finder look cloudy and out of FOCUS. Waste of money. Just so you know I bought 2 and both are equally as bad. I want my money back!!!
Hoodman
Great accessory, cuts out most light
Good product
This eyecup does its work well, keeping stray light from the viewfinder. Very durable but not eternal, so I replace them occasionally. Nothing remarkable about it other than that it works as advertised. Recommended
Hoodman HoodEYE Eyecup for Nikon
The Hoodman HoodEYE Eyecup for Nikon fit my D850 perfectly and greatly helps me when I use the viewfinder. Quick service, shipping and price from B&H
Perfect for my Nikon D500
Had to replace my first one on my D500. It lasted over 10 years and saw lots of travel and shooting in extreme cold and hot. Well worth the money.
Perfect description and guidan
Thanks for perfect description which helped me finally getting a round based eyecup. Else have been ordered 3 times and always got the wrong ones from other vendors.
Hoodman eyecup on Nikon D850
Does the job well. I was always having issues with light leakage around the edge of the D850's eyepiece. This does a fine job of shutting out extraneous light and centering the eye in the field of view. It is a bit difficult to rotate for verticals, but it's flexible enough that I don't bother turning it. Only gripe is that the glass in it isn't coated and you can get reflections in it.
The Best
Several years ago I bought a HoodEYE Eyecup for my D750 and found it to be better than sliced bread. It helped framing and catching unwanted junk before pushing the shutter release. But best all; it keeps sunlight from your eyepiece. So, when I got my D850 I made a Hoodman my first must-have. Installing the new eyecup required a few steps that had me worried, but it turned out to be an easy 5-minute job. This product is worth more than the $20.00 bucks it costs - try one and you'll be back for more.
