Will this work with the A99? It's not on the list.
No, it would not be compatible, as the two cameras have two different remote release connections. The A99 is currently only compatible with the Sony RM-VPR1 Remote Control with Multi-terminal Cable for Select Sony Cameras, B&H# SORMVPR1, as there is currently no third-party alternative for this remote connection.

Is there a way to make this or some other remote compatible with a Sony DSC-HX200V camera?
It's very useful to bulb and long time pictures, using a tripod.My camera is an A-100. I cannot assure it will work with your brand new camera. I really hope I do work, because I want to buy a 77. ;-)Best reggards.
