Hoodman's Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup for Canon 18mm Eyepieces Models will help block out light when looking through your camera's viewfinder and is specially designed for the eyeglass wearer. From its over-sized design, which seals out ambient light, to its rotating nature that accommodates right or left eyed shooters, this eyecup ensures that the Canon 18mm eyepiece shooter can get their shot with ease. The self locking mount slides over the eyepiece mounting rails, keeping the cup in place. Additionally, the hypoallergenic silicon keeps irritation at bay for hours of comfortable shooting. When used on cameras with articulating screens, the HoodEye Eyecup will prevent full motion, requiring users to remove the eyecup before moving the screen into position.

Glasses Model Hoodeye Eyecup for Canon 18mm Eyepieces Models is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not great, but better than nothing Well it's the best eyecup available for those of us who use glasses, much better than the stock cup (I use a 40d), and better than a cheapo @ find I tried out. It's not as good as the old canon ED-E oversize eyecup, but that only fits on film cameras. I still have to sort of squeeze my glasses in, and due to its shape I can't really get my eye close enough to easily see the whole viewfinder, which is something I could do with the old ED-E.Yes it blocks part of the LCD, but who cares, the histogram isn't block and that's the only thing that matters. It's a little pricey to for what it is in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helps Prevent Smeared Eye Glasses! This reversible cup (can use it for either right or left eye) replaces the OM eyecup. It is easily mounted and firmly held in place. With it in place, I use it for my right eye and don't smear the inside of my eyeglasses, which sometimes happened with the OM cup. By forcing me to use my right eye, it makes using the button that I've designated for back button focus more easily accessible. Being reversible, it would act similarly if one wanted to use the left eye. It also helps to screen out ambient light in bright conditions. The cup easily flattens itself when putting camera in backpack or other carrier, yet pops right back when taken out and used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saved my eyes and Photograph Viewing! I have been using the Hoodman loop for several years, that was the first thing that saved my life while shooting in open spaces of sun and light. As I have gotten older, well you know things start breaking down, including our eye site. I have worn glasses for many years now and got tired of mounting my glasses on the top of my head when putting my eye up to the pentaprism of my camera. The Hoodman eye cup is great if you need to keep your glasses on, set your diopter and start shooting! I have found that this particular Hoodman is great if you wear thinner frame glasses. I will also suggest looking at there HEYEC22G (Canon mount), for a larger cup if you need more space for your glasses.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great viewing aid I bought this one after purchasing one for a different camera. Loved it. Keeps the glare out when shooting in strong side-light situations. Comfortable. Works for left eyed shooters also. We will see when I get new eyeglasses if the eyecup prevents me from scratching them. I still need to see how well they travel in a camera bag. (if they get knocked off or need to be taken off) 4 stars since the jury is still out on that issue and on the scratched glasses concern.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn't fit Canon 6D Reading the viewfinder display in the sunlight on my Canon 6D is impossible (come on Canon). Thought this might help but the hood does not snap down and lock into place ob the 6D. Tried to work with it, but not effective. Other than that seems to be good quality and comfortable. Switching from landscape to portrait is not efficient, but may have worked had the hood fit the 6D better. Also hides some of the LCD display.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Reduces eye relief too much The eyecup portion does a nice job of blocking light, and is very flexible. However, the hard plastic portion (which attaches the eyecup to the camera) is too thick. It protrudes from the viewfinder about 6mm more than that of the standard Canon eyepiece, and as a result, I wasn't able to get my glasses close enough to see the entire viewfinder. For a special glasses model eyecup, I found this unacceptable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works as intended. It was bought to be used with a Canon 70D. It fits well and stops excess light although it is not listed for this camera. However, if you are picky, unless you turn around the screen before attaching the Hoodman, you may have to remove the eye-cup every time you open the articulated screen. I do not chimp my pictures so this does not bother me in the least. All I want is no sun blinding my vision.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good for blocking light Overall, this eye cup serves it's purpose of blocking light. The rubber cup itself is sturdy and it doesn't move once its locked in. It can be rotated for left or right eye configuration. I attached it to a Canon 70D with little difficulty. The only downside is it blocks the LCD monitor on the 70D so it can't be moved once the eye cup is in place. This is the reason for the lower star score.
