A Big Eyepiece and Still Have Access to Camera

Bought this rather odd-looking device on a whim. Read the reviews about it blocking the LCD monitor and it coming apart and whatever else. Installed it on the camera (5DSR) and it works well. I have it positioned with the cup offset to the LEFT and it has minimal effect on access to Info and Menu controls and has minimal intrusion on the top of the LCD monitor. Viewing through the viewfinder is not impeded or altered either. With the cup being rotatable, it makes storing the camera with the larger eyepiece in a tight camera bag easy as well. As the price of any of the eyepieces goes, this one gives the most bang for the buck

Yes, that is compatible. The 7D and the 7D Mark ii use the same eye cups.

I bought this to try to fit to the EOS R, and of course did not fit but I thought I could modify to fit and was not able to get it to work. The R5 has an eyepiece that is adaptable to a hood accessory but I do not have the original of this hood to try it. I think B&H would be good about allowing a return on this one if it did not work, other than that, and easier would be to call the store and ask someone there to try to see if it will fit since they have the camera and this eyepiece at the store. Sorry I can't be more help but once someone finds out the answer it would be good to post the result here to help others.
