FotodioX CY-EOS-PRO Overview

This Pro Lens Adapter from Fotodiox enables the use of your Contax/Yashica lenses on Canon EF-mount DSLR cameras. It features a durable brass construction with stainless steel finish, a leaf spring ensures a secure connection between the lens and adapter, and its design also maintains infinity focus.

This manual adapter does not maintain automatic lens control between the camera and lens; aperture priority or manual shooting modes should be used, as well as stop-down metering for exposure control.
It is not recommended to use this adapter with the Contax/Yashica 18mm f/4, 85mm f/1.2, or 135mm f/2 lenses in conjunction with Canon EOS 5D-series DSLRs.

These are very well made and much better than the cheaper version. A great simple and still very inexpensive way to put your contax lenses on an EF mount. Great results on BMPCC Pro 6k and RED.

works

I'm using this with an old Carl Zeiss manual lens and it works fine. Only issue is that the adapter doesn't lock on the lens. So when changing the zoom it sometimes unlocks the lens from the body

Will this work with my Kiev Contax Jupiter-9 85mm lens?

Unfortunately this will not work with a Contax Jupiter lens, as the lens mount is completely different.

question

I have a Contax NX with two Zeiss lens: 1) T* Planar 1.4/50mm, and 2) T* Vario-Sonnar 3.5 - 4.5/70-200mm. Will this adapter work with these lens to a Canon EOS 7D?
Asked by: STEPHEN
The Contax NX has the Contax N-Mount, which is different from the Contax/Yashica (C/Y) mount. Unfortunately, this adapter would not be compatible with your lenses, nor do we have an adapter that would mount N-mount lenses on a Canon EOS body.

HiI purchase the adapter and it does work to hook up my old lenses to my new camera. I was thinking about returning it since I may not need to use one of my old lens.

question

I recently purchased a fotodiox c/y to canon eos adapter and am very pleased to use my zeiss 2.8/28 lens with my canon 20d; however, I'm unable to get the adapter off the lens to use with my 80mm zeiss lens. Can you give any suggestions on how I can remove it, or is this permanent, and I have to buy another adapter for another lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
It is best to have an adapter for each lens. However if you use a strong fingernail or small flat screw driver, there is a little clip which holds the adapter firm, by moving back a bit you can then turn the adapter off .Hope this is helpful!

question

It supports the T1i why not the T5i?
Asked by: Anonymous
The adapter works on my xti and my t5, in both manual and aperture priority. I believe it should work for the t5i. Good luck!
