Telmax G217 overview

  • 1Description

The Telmax G2-17 17" LCD Teleprompter features a 22' reading range, and can support up to full-sized ENG cameras. The camera riser has a 3" adjustment range allowing you to use a variety of cameras and center them in the mirror. The 70/30 beamsplitter provides good contrast and readability. The monitor accepts VGA inputs, and includes a power cord and 25' long VGA cable.

You can adjust the angle of the beamsplitter glass from completely flat up to 48°, and it is secured using a springless system. A small fabric hood cinches around your lens preventing light from leaking around your lens and flaring your image. Telmax G217 reviews

    G2-17 17" LCD Teleprompter is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 3.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would purchase this product again! This is a great product that worked extremely well, once I figured it all out! lol It comes disassembled and takes a little bit of thinking and studying the parts to put it together, but nothing bad. Downloading and using the software was a little confusing so I called the tech support number that comes with the instructions and the people helping me were awesome. They took whatever time it took to get me up and running to my satisfaction. I immediately used the teleprompter with ease to do an job. I can't say enough good things about the manufacturing company and of course B&H is my favorite audio/video supplier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Investment I have purchased two of the Telmax teleprompters and they are not only easy to assemble and use, but invaluable for video production. A great investment!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Functional but precarious My main beef with this product is the ability to tighten the angle of the glass. The two screws to tighten and adjust the angle have a round, plastic topped screws that are a struggle to keep locked. I also don't feel like the glass stays securely mounted to the plastic holder-- I've ended up taping it with gaff because it has slid out a few times as I've been handling it. The monitor connections are also hard to reach once it's assembled-- I have discovered that you just need to plug everything in before attaching the monitor. I purchased the Pelican 1630 for this product because after purchasing the Porta Brace case recommended on the company's website, I quickly realized that there's no way it would fit inside it. The plastic glass holder doesn't collapse, so it takes up a lot of room in a case if you want to safely store it. Be forewarned, the 1630 is a beast of a case, but to fit the glass holder (which is still in that case on an angle), it needed to be deep. I also purchased a Manfrotto quick release plate that I will leave mounted on the prompter permanently for quick transitions and adjustments.
