The Rode Newsshooter Digital Wireless System and Interview Mic Kit from B&H includes a Rode TX-XLR wireless transmitter, a RX-Cam camera-mounted wireless receiver, a Rode Reporter omnidirectional handheld interview mic, and a Senal OLM-2 lavalier microphone with a 1/8" connector for Sennheiser ew transmitters. It can be used to capture audio using series II 2.4 GHz digital transmission and 128-bit encryption for ENG (Electronic News Gathering) and interview applications.
The receiver features an OLED display with information on level, battery status, mute, and channel selection. There is also a pad that can attenuate signals between 0 and -20 dB. The receiver can be mounted on a standard camera shoe or a belt clip.
Furthermore, the transmitter has its own OLED panel for monitoring battery and output level, and it easily connects to XLR handheld presentation microphones as well as a 1/8" shotgun microphone and powered lavaliers. It provides 48V phantom power through its XLR input and plug-in power through the 1/8" TRS input.
In addition, the Rode handheld interview mic is designed for interviews and presentation uses. It has a frequency response tailored for field reporting and rejects frequencies below 70 Hz, which are the source of most wind and various environmental noises.
Finally, the Senal OLM-2 lavalier mic rounds out the kit with its omnidirectional polar pattern, which enables 360° pickup, and it captures a natural blend of voice and ambiance with low sensitivity to wind and handling noise. Everything you need is included for capturing audio for various reporting and interview applications with the Newsshooter Digital Wireless System and Interview Mic Kit.
