FotodioX PL-EOS-PRO-FC10 Overview

This FotodioX Pro Lens Mount Adapter allows an ARRI PL-mount lens to be used on a Canon EF or EF-S mount camera. It is designed to support focusing to infinity, is constructed from brass as well as aluminum-alloy, and utilizes a brass lens mounting ring to provide a durable, yet lightweight camera-to-lens connection.

A Generation v10 chip built into the adapter enables focus confirmation within a Canon EF or EF-S mount camera when used with an ARRI PL-mount lens. This feature allows focus to be quickly and accurately achieved through a compatible camera's viewfinder or live view feature.

To help prevent stress on the camera mount if the supported camera and lens combination is to be placed on a tripod, this Pro Lens Mount Adapter includes an integrated tripod foot. For direct attachment to tripods or quick-release plates that feature 1/4"-20 mounts, the underside of the tripod foot is tapped with a 1/4"-20 accessory thread.

Does work on PL lenses

I bought this adapter to use with my PL Cooke Speed on my Canon 5D Mark III. At first look, the adapter looks nice but if you get a closer look, the electronic connectors seems that someone just glue on to the adapter, it does seems very fragile and poor job. But anyways, I tried first connecting the adapter to the 5D, it worked! However when I tried attaching my PL lens (tried several ones from the set), it did not attach!!! So I am returning this item and looking to find a better one.

This adapter wil work with the Sigma 18-35mm T2 High-Speed Zoom Lens ?

If your lens has a PL mount this is what you need to mount to Canon EF/EF-S mount camera. The lens is also available with Canon mount. If you have that lens, you don't need the adapter. It mounts directly on to the camera. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1324192-REG/sigma_210966_18_35mm_t2_cine_zoom.html

I want to use this arri pl to ef mount adapter for my xeen cine lens which are PL mount .want to convert it to EF and use it on BM URSA mini .is it possible ?
Asked by: Sergio
Using PL lenses on an EF camera has long been desired. Unfortunately, the two standards are not fully cross compatible. Many adapters have tried to bridge this gap and this is the latest one. I would look at the last image outlining the measurements of the lens. If your lenses fit those specs, you are probably good to go. NOTE: you will have the greatest success with normal to tele perspective lenses. That is because wider focal length lenses, say less than 28mm, will go deeper and exceed the workable dimensions. In the time honored tradition of cinematographic camera assisting, the final answer will only come from testing.

Will this adapter work with the DZO Pictor Zooms? 20-55 and 50-125?
Asked by: Mike
No, it will not. I just ordered this and it will not mount to the PL mount of the DZO Pictor Zoom. The circumstance of the Rear optic housing that protrudes past the mount is too great to fit within the EF mount.
