Tiffen 62mm Circular Polarizer Filters - Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

Can I use this filter on a Pentax 18 - 135 mm?

Can I use this filter on a Pentax 18 - 135 mm?
Asked by: Nestor
As the Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR Lens, B&H # PE18135, uses 62mm front filter threads, yes, the Tiffen 62mm Circular Polarizing Filter, B&H # TICP62, would be compatible for use with the Pentax SMC DA 18-135mm F/3.5-5.6 ED AL (IF) DC WR Lens.

question

Is this cause vignetting with wide-angle lenses?
Asked by: Anonymous
Depending on the focal length of your lens, this filter may cause vignette. You may want to look into a wide angle circular polarizer, such as the Tiffen 62mm Circular Polarizing Wide Angle (Low Profile Design) Filter: http://bhpho.to/1qbv3r0

question

Can this filter be used on a Tamron 18-270 lens?
Asked by: Anonymous
If it is the Tamron 18-270 kens in the B&H catalog then yes, the stats say that it takes a 62mm filter. It should thread right on to the end of the lens. I would add a UV filter on top to protect your filter from being scratched, the UV serves its own purpose and is much cheaper to replace. I have had this filter for about 2 years and it has worked great.

Will this work for a Nikkor ais 24mm f2.8 lens?
Asked by: Ethan
Somewhere on your lens there should be a circle with a slash through it followed by two digits and “mm”. This is the size in millimeters of the end of the lens that accepts filters, etc.
