FotodioX SNYA-NIKF-PRO overview

  • 1Description

This Pro Lens Adapter from Fotodiox enables the use of your Sony A lenses on Nikon F mount SLR and DSLR cameras. It features a durable brass construction with stainless steel finish, a leaf spring ensures a secure connection between the lens and adapter, and its design also maintains infinity focus through the use of a 1.4x multi-coated focus correction lens. Additionally, benefitting working with lenses that lack an aperture ring, this adapter also features a built-in iris control to adjust the amount of light let into the camera.

This manual adapter does not maintain automatic lens control between the camera and lens; aperture priority or manual shooting modes should be used, as well as stop-down metering for exposure control.

    FotodioX SNYA-NIKF-PRO reviews

Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Sony A Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera is rated 3.5 out of 5 by 12.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Great idea, but... Every photo taken while using this adapter has a circle of blue haze in the center of the frame. The positive reviews leave me scratching my head. I fully expected some image degradation with such a product but not to this degree. Perhaps I'll remove the glass and try it as an extension tube.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost wonderful I bought this hoping that I could use some lenses that were handed down to me, and I can to a degree. This adapter is great at doing just that - adapting. It mounted to my d3200 flawlessly, as did my Minolta AF lenses to it. It also seems fairly sturdy, as it's built mostly of metal. However, I ran into a problem when shooting with this. There is a fairly large blue circle in the dead center of every shot. It seemed to change size/transparency with any focal length adjustment. This dot was far more noticeable outdoors as well. It also gave a very soft focus in most of my trial. Upon removing the infinity focusing lense you can shoot macro with it, though you will have a very soft focus for this too. If you've got some alpha lenses that you feel like experimenting with, this is a fun and fairly cheap tool to allow that. But, for those seeking high quality results, save your money and invest on some better glass instead.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Expanding the collection A friend gave me a couple of lenses she had somehow ended up with, but they didn't work with my camera lens mount. I used the online chat at BH Photo to figure out what I needed, so now I can use the lenses! The only problem I had was that there weren't any instructions. It was easy enough to attach everything, but I didn't know that the camera needed to be in manual mode, or else it would come up with an error that no lens was attached. I had to figure that out on my own, but now I'm set.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Built like a tank...a toy tank. I had this on my camera a whole hour, shot a few test shots using a bargain find sony mount tamron 200-400mm beer can lens that I got for $. I put my camera in my vehicle and went to pick it up and the whole adapter just came apart. Luckily my D750 was only inches from my carseat. So everything came apart with one side attached to the lens and the other to the camera and various internals on my seat. I'm looking it over to see why it failed and returning it for an exchange.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Producto nada interesante No sirve para nada.El montaje del elemento ptico interno con la arandela pintada de blanco produce un halo en la imagen que inhabilita la foto que puedas tomar.El halo aumenta o disminuye segun el diafragma empleado pero siempre est presente en la foto final..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good. does exactly what it suppose to And without feeling cheap. if there is only one thing I would complaint about is how easy it is to change my opinion it should have more resistense - I find myself sometimes changing it by accident.
