FotodioX CY-NIKF-PRO Overview

This Pro Lens Adapter from Fotodiox enables the use of your Contax/Yashica lenses on Nikon F mount SLR and DSLR cameras. It features a durable brass construction with stainless steel finish and a leaf spring ensures a secure connection between the lens and adapter. Additionally, through the use of a 1.4x multi-coated focus correction lens, this adapter is designed to maintain infinity focus. This correction lens can also be removed to render the adapter as an extension tube for macro shooting.

This manual adapter does not maintain automatic lens control between the camera and lens; aperture priority or manual shooting modes should be used, as well as stop-down metering for exposure control.

This allows me to achieve infinity focus. Nough said. Can now use my Contax Carl Zeiss Planar T* 50mm f/1.7 on my Nikon D800E.

Hello,I'd like to buy the adapter but the description says it has a 1.4x MC focus correction lens, but does this change the impression of the focal lengh, making it longer?Also, could I put this adapter on top of a nikon g/f speed booster for BMPCC?Thanks very much,Anthony

Contax / Yashica lens cannot natively be adapted onto a Nikon camera due to their shorter flange focal distance as compared to Nikon 45.50 mm vs 46.50 mm. The correction lens is needed to re adjust focus to infinity. While using a Nikon to MFT adapter may allow you to attach a lens to a BMPCC, we cannot speak for the resulting image quality of usable functionality.

Can this adapter be used for an external bayonet mount lens like the Jupiter 11 135 f4 ? (http://fedka.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=88)

Unfortunately, the Jupiter-11 135mm f/4 won't work with this adapter, since the Contax rangefinders have a different mount than the Contax/Yashica lenses, as the Contax/Yashica lenses have an SLR mount. At the current time, there are not any adapters made for the Contax Rangefinder mount to any other current camera mount.

Can this be used with the Nikon D90? I have a Vivitar 105mm Macro lens with Yashica/Contax fit will this work with this lens on my D90?

Yes, it can be used on Nikon D90, but you do not have light metering nor auto focus. You have to set your aperture and shutter speed manually, using another digital camera to measure light or a light meter for that purpose.
