This Pro Lens Adapter from Fotodiox enables the use of your Canon FD lenses on Nikon F mount SLR and DSLR cameras. It features a durable brass construction with stainless steel finish and a leaf spring ensures a secure connection between the lens and adapter. Additionally, through the use of a 1.4x multi-coated focus correction lens, this adapter is designed to maintain infinity focus. This correction lens can also be removed to render the adapter as an extension tube for macro shooting.

This manual adapter does not maintain automatic lens control between the camera and lens; aperture priority or manual shooting modes should be used, as well as stop-down metering for exposure control.

Pro Lens Mount Adapter for Canon FD Lens to Nikon F Mount Camera is rated 3.9 out of 5 by 16.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works quite well if you can figure out how it will fit.... I have numerous old Canon FD lenses from my Canon A-1 camera from 1980 (still have it; love it) though I switched to Nikon DSLR a while back. Didn't know what to do with the FDs. Via a live chat with B and H rep, found out that adapters are available from FD to Nikon mount and ordered this one which arrived surprisingly quickly. Sadly, there is no instruction sheet - just the adapter ring. I fooled and fumbled with it and finally I am able to use FD lenses on my Nikon DSLR in manual mode. Results are surprisingly good. Giving four stars because I expected an instruction sheet in the packing. Go to YouTube and you can see how to use similar adapters.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good investment. I had several Canon AE-1 lenses that I could no longer use ($$$). My latest camera is a Nikon D5500. My uncle (professional photographer) recommended I try an adapter. He uses them with good results. It took me a few minutes to get the older lenses to fit - very tight fit on some lenses. You have to shoot manual mode, but that's what I normally do anyway. I'd give it a 5 rating except for the tight fit on some lenses. It's not a quick change to put the adapter on another lens. It does fit and mount the camera well though. The price is right. I may buy a couple more just to have my other lenses ready.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New life for old glass! I had a bag full of Canon and third party FD lenses for my F1 and F1n film cameras. They were great lenses in their day. I was especially interested in resurrecting a 400 mm telephoto for my Nikon D800. The Fotodiox adapter did the trick. Manual focus and metering are not an issue for someone who took up photography in the early 1970s. The images are not needle sharp but certainly good enough for the web or modest sized prints (8 x 10). The adapter is well made and reasonably priced. One wish - Fotodiox should include an instruction sheet with the unit and the URL to their download site.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Canon FD mount zoom lens to Nikon D5300 This has brought to life an old favourite 70 - 205 zoom lens with a set of filters. This was used on a Canon A1 dating back to 1980. The Nikon operates in Manual only. Aperture control is on the lens and shutter speed is controlled using the command dial - top right hand rear of camera. Its very easy to make a bracketed set of shots and pick the best exposure later. I'll be leaving the adaptor on the lens because it was a bit fiddly to put the adaptor on the lens but easy to put the assembly onto the camera. Otherwise absolutely no problems . I'm glad I bought this.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works just as it should, well made. I have old Canon lenses that get used rarely and decided to try this adapter. It works fine, especially since my D610 allows me to make entries for non-cpu lenses for aperture and maximum F stop. Not the adapter's fault, but lens flare is more obvious without the special coatings that my Nikon lenses fault. But lets face it, the newest FD I have is probably 33 years old, well before modern lens design. Just have to make sure and use a lens hood to help that situation. I think someone else in a review blamed like leaks, but I believe the person might have been seeing this flare issue. I't's easy to figure out if one takes a moment to block side light from different angles in front of the lens.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from no good This adaptor creates haze and distortion at wide apertures, and it won't stop down the lens, so you're always shooting wide open. Photo quality is terrible; especially with fast lenses. I've tested this on my Nikon D70s and D7000 with several Canon lenses. I really wanted it to work, but no combination of camera and lens gave me acceptable results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exellent product, excellent price. This adapter is simple to use, and expands your ability as a photographer ten fold. With it, you can use any Canon FD mount lens on a Nikon F mount body, just so long as the camera is in Manual mode. I had a lot of doubts before buying this, but I assure you, this will preform as you want it to. It is strong as well, I use it with a 3+ pound (about 1.5 Kg) 100-500 mm lens and it does not even flinch.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice job I just purchased a new NICON D5200 camera, I have had several 35mm. film cameras in my lifetime with several different lenses from 55mm to 300mm with this product and my new digital camera i am able to use these lenses. I can only use the manual setting but the pictures have come out great so far. This has saved me a lot of money until i get better with the digital to purchase a bigger automatic lens. Thanks KGP
