The Sensei PRO 49-52mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring permits the use of 52mm threaded filters on lenses with 49mm filter threads. It has large side knurls to provide a more textured grip when mounting or removing it from a lens. Needed this for a step up from the Sigma Art 70mm Macro to the Nikon ES-1 slide copier. Works like a champ!
Nice features including a bumpy edge for easy spin-on and off. One of the better Sensei offerings and worth your money.
It adapts, what more do you want? Machining is decent, and the price is right.
* I’ve only used this step-up ring a couple of times since receiving it two weeks ago. The selling point for me is the outer ridges on the ring.
I bought this because it was cheap and I could not find a system P Coking ring for the 49 mm tread, so a step up ring was mandatory. The build quality is good, it feels solid and for the price is very good.
Good quality piece, and the grippy edge is useful when adding and removing filters.
Get the brass version, which feels way sturdier
