    52-58mm Step-Up Ring is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 38.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just What You'd Expect I had just bought a 50mm lens and didn't want to spend money on another UV filter, so I bought this ring to use with my 58mm UV filter. Works great. Screws on and off easily and holds the filter firmly in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect to make 500D closeup I use this to mount a Canon 500D acromatic closeup lens +2 to my Nikkor 55-200mm zoom. The 500D is only available in a 58mm size and the Nikkor lens has a 52mm filter size. The photos are much sharper than a standard closeup lens of 2x for lenses over 100mm. Used on a telezoom there is about 14 inches of spacing between the front of the lens and the subject. The quality is equivalent to macro extension tubes without the loss of light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and serves its purpose There is not a lot to write about such a simple product. It does what it is supposed to do: step a 58mm filter down to a 52mm filter ring.I have a lot of Canon FD lenses which use 52mm and the majority of my fixed EF lenses use 58mm. I carry very little because I would rather photograph than cart gear around. As such being able to use a 58mm for both old and new lenses helps a great deal. It also helps with donated or borrowed equipment. This step-up ring is as well built as a cost effective option can be but does not seem flimsy to me. It holds the filter well. I find a little oil from the body (back of the ear or side of nose) rubbed on the rings help a lot with threading and removing the filters and preventing binding. I would purchase more of these in other sizes, as needed. The product is also very lightweight. It is almost un-noticible being carried in a shirt pocket. I am very pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Step-Up Ring I needed a simple solution to using my 58mm lens hood and filters. This fit the bill perfectly. Made out of a light duty metal, it definitely feels sturdy enough to last several years of usage, while maintaing the integrity of the threads so they won't strip. Overall, a simple solution to use my 58mm accessories on my 52mm lens.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good enough, barely My new lenses are 52mm filter thread and I have lots of 58mm filters and proxars but too few step-rings. So I ordered this one. It is OK, but the threads are not nearly as smooth as on the older ones, and there were a few small machining burrs on the 52s.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful I find this has made finding filters much easier. I shop around before choosing the lowest price for a filter, this has opened my options more. I will occasionally have trouble taking the filters off. Other than this, I think this product's worth it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stepping up is what it's all about!!! Great product, does what it is supposed to do. Nice threads, haven't and any issues with it being loose or to tight. Good product to have if you need to do some stepping up to a bigger size filter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality for an amazing price. Using a 58mm ND filter on a 28mm lens, shows no signs of vignetting at all. This is one of the cheapest you can buy. But the construction matches the higher priced competitors without a doubt.
