Sensei SUR-5258 Reviews
Worst ever
This ring is so poorly made , sure is was only 5 dollars but why does BH even sell these. The threads are so loose that a B+W filter can't tighten and just spins.
Not well machined
This ring does not screw into the lens filter threads smoothly or easily, on either lens I have used it with. I would not recommend it.
Great ring for a great price
Does what it needs to do without breaking the wallet
Steps up!
Works exactly as it should, great quality threads.
Excellent ring
I have many Sensei rings and I find them good value. The threads are smooth without sticking plus there is no vignetting. Give them a try
Machined Imperfectly
My first copy was machined so poorly that my 58mm Tiffen VND filter would never tighten all the way. I returned it(applause to BH), and my second copy has the same issue, but not to the same degree. The ND filter can tighten down, but will spin through the threads if I put too much torque on it. I'll live with it and be careful.
Step-up ring
A perfect fit for my wide angle lens. The only factor surpassing the step-up ring was the assistance I received from the B&H service agent. While on the phone he conducted a quick research on my video camera to ensure the perfect he was thorough and informative
Machining flaw
May just be mine, but I found the 58mm female filter thread to be very shallow, and trying to attach 58mm filters resulted in insufficient purchase to lock the filter in - it ended up jumping the screw track and spinning in place. Same filter has zero issue screwing into a 58mm lens thread.
