This works very well. The one drawback is that it can be very hard to remove the 82mm filter from the step-up ring. You really have to grip it correctly. Perhaps a filter wrench would fix this issue, but I get by with a bit of elbow grease.

I bought the Step down by mistake the first time. This enables me to use an 82mm ND filter on my smaller 72mm lens. Works great - smooth threading - great price.
It works fine. For the price you cannot ask for more. It tends to jam if you twist it too much but does the job.
Good step up ring. Does what it was made for.
